This Destination By Hyatt resort is located at the base of 2,000 acres of protected land and mountains, with rooms at The Lodge starting at 30,000 Hyatt points a night. 

While there are fun activities to enjoy all winter, like ice skating with a live DJ on Friday nights and sledding, the resort hosts a special event, the Spruce Peaks Light Festival, on Dec, 16th. Guests and visitors can enjoy a performance of holiday and pop music with the Ice Dance International, featuring national champion Ryan Bradley. 

The night ends with Spruce Peak's annual tree-lighting ceremony, where thousands of tiny lights adorn the evergreen trees and decorate the Spruce Peaks Village Plaza and ice rink. After the lighting, guests are treated to a fireworks show at the top of Spruce Peak.

Wild Dunes Resort, Isle of Palms, South Carolina

Although the resort is on the beach, it still celebrates the holidays -- with a Low Country twist. This family resort which is known for its resort activities and award-winning golf courses, turns up for the holidays with a full agenda of happenings. The season kicks off with an oyster roast every Thursday in November and December and a holiday pop-up at Laughing Gull. Not far from Boston proper, the hotel features a festive pop-up bar, Miracle at Marlowe, and offers hotel holiday packages, like an Overnight Miracle at Marlowe. This includes an overnight stay, two beverages at the Miracle pop-up, and a $50 dining credit at the hotel’s restaurant, Bambara, which is a Bilt Dining restaurant. There is limited availability for the holiday package, but standard rooms start at 22,000 IHG points per night. 

Miracle at Marlowe offers guests a festive place to relax with seasonal and cheerful cocktails. Drinks include the Elfing Around, made with prosecco, gin, a mulled wine reduction, grapefruit shrub, aromatic bitters, and orange bitters, as well as the Snowball Old-Fashioned with rye, gingerbread, aromatic bitters, wormwood bitters, and orange essence. Miracle will be open daily from 5 pm, November 24 - Christmas Eve.
